When the dust settled a few years later, I had more understanding of my mental health but found myself thinking, “Now what do I do?”
I had no idea.
Therapy helped, but my psychologist wasn't ADHD informed and couldn’t give me specific ADHD advice. My psychiatrist appointments focused on meds and were only a few times a year.
I wasn’t after a coach, counsellor or someone with a fancy title, I just wanted to chat with someone who was a little further into their ADHD journey.
Through Instagram and the connections I made I discovered the value of peer support & learning from those with lived experience. As I shared my experiences with ADHD online, I started getting DMs asking if I could offer 1 on 1 peer support calls.
I took a step out of my comfort zone to say yes, but I’m so glad I did!
If you’ve been wanting to chat openly about ADHD with someone, I’m happy to listen and be that person for you!
